We are Liz and Pip, sisters and co-owners of Scarpa. We grew up in this business, founded 35 years ago by our parents. Today we run it together alongside our amazing and experienced team. We travel to Europe each year to find the pieces that earn a place in our online store and Auckland boutique - meeting the makers, wearing the shoes, carrying the bags. Everything we bring home has been chosen with care. We hope you feel that when you shop with us.

We're proud to be the exclusive New Zealand stockist for some of the world's most loved footwear and handbag designers including Stella McCartney, Paul Green, Stuart Weitzman, Jérôme Dreyfuss - and more. We also carry exclusive styles from many other iconic designers like Rag & Bone and Pedro García, and have a curated collection of Italian designed and made brands – Scarpa means shoe in Italian, so of course, these are very close to our heart.

We work closely with some of Europe's most respected designers and family-run makers, many of them using techniques refined over generations. From the quality of the leathers to the fit, feel, design and construction, every detail is considered long before a piece arrives in New Zealand.
We’ve been fitting and styling New Zealand women in European-made, designer footwear for over 35 years, so you can trust us that each pair of shoes is selected not only for beauty, but for superior comfort.
This hands-on approach has become part of our DNA - leading us to create our own footwear brand, Scarpa The Label, in 2023. Designed in New Zealand and made by our friends in Tuscany, it was a natural next step, utilising our extensive knowledge of footwear fit, and Italian-made craftsmanship, designed with our own customers in mind.
